At Continuum, our purpose is to enhance people’s quality of life through improvement of physical function. By combining hands-on therapy, education and exercise, we give our clients the tools they need to improve their health and create sustained wellbeing. We examine causes as well as symptoms so you can enjoy long-term health and effective recovery from injuries.

Luke Dowse

Luke Dowse

Owner/Physiotherapist

Luke is an experienced physiotherapist with a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne. He specialises in managing sporting and musculoskeletal injuries and since 2012 has worked with the Heidelberg Senior Football Club. Luke has also previously worked with AFL Victoria as the State League Umpires physiotherapist. Luke has completed specialist training in weight loss management and was selected as physiotherapist in published research studies investigating diet, exercise, and education in those with knee and hip osteoarthritis. Luke is married to Lauren and they have two sons and a very friendly labrador named Custard. He loves cricket, supports Carlton FC, and enjoys distance running and playing guitar.
Tielle Lyons

Tielle Lyons

Physiotherapist

Tielle completed a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Physiotherapy Practice at La Trobe University and has also undertaken additional training in dry needling and clinical Pilates. With a strong background in dance and circus arts, she also has a particular interest in working with artistic athletes. She has experience in a range of aerial and ground-based circus specialties, such as lyra, trapeze, contortion, handbalancing, and partner acrobatics. She additionally enjoys working with dancers across a broad range of styles, such as classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and tap. Tielle has a strong clinical interest in the management of foot, ankle and hip injuries. She enjoys working with individuals across all age groups, with a particular enthusiasm for supporting paediatrics and adolescents to achieve their activity and sporting related goals. Outside of work, Tielle enjoys surf-lifesaving along the coast with family, dancing/acrobatics, and occasionally skiing or scuba diving. You’ll also find her baking cakes, and playing with her very mischievous cat, Bean.
Thomas Nemeth

Thomas Nemeth

Physiotherapist

Thomas completed his Doctor of Physiotherapy training, with distinction, from the University of Melbourne in 2018. Thomas believes in an active approach to both rehabilitation and injury prevention-based physiotherapy, and can often be found alongside his patients in the gym, putting evidence-based ideas into practice. Thomas also has additional training in dry needling and has completed advanced training in shoulder, hip, and groin-related sporting injuries. Building on a passion for sport and exercise, Thomas is also currently undertaking his Masters in Sports and Exercise Physiotherapy with La Trobe University. This experience has afforded him the opportunity to spend time working with the physiotherapy teams at both Cricket Victoria and Melbourne United in the NBL. In addition to his clinical role, Thomas has also served as physiotherapist for various sporting clubs at both local and State League level. This includes 3 seasons with the Western Jets in the Coates Talent League and 3 years as Physiotherapist for the AFL State League Umpires. Outside of work, Thomas enjoys running around with his playful Golden Retriever Sherlock, attending Carlton home games with his wife, improving his golf and ice-hockey game, and researching in-depth stats to help win his next Fantasy Football title.
Lauren Dowse

Lauren Dowse

Physiotherapist

Lauren holds a Doctor of Physiotherapy from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in anatomy and physiology. Lauren has undergone further training in aquatic therapy (hydrotherapy) and is passionate about the effect of water-based therapy to help people with various musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. Lauren has broad hospital experience across cardiorespiratory, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions with several years of assisting patients with complex health conditions. Outside of work, Lauren enjoys time with her two sons, as well as cycling, running, swimming and partaking in pilates classes. Lauren heads up our aquatic therapy (hydrotherapy) sessions – get in contact with us if you are interested in this excellent rehabilitation and exercise option.
