Physiotherapy involves the treatment of various physical conditions by university-trained professionals. Physiotherapists use evidence-based techniques and treatments to help alleviate pain and improve physical function. These treatments include rehabilitative exercise programs, manual ‘hands-on’ therapy techniques, as well as promoting movement.
No — physiotherapists are considered Primary Care Practitioners meaning that a referral is not required. In the case of any WorkCover/Transport Accident Commission (TAC) claims, Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), Medicare Chronic Disease Management (formerly Enhanced Primary Care; EPC) plans will require appropriate documentation completed from your General Practitioner and brought with you for your physiotherapy appointment.
We also provide care for NDIS patients, setting specific and measurable goals alongside you, and then developing a treatment plan matched to your needs. Physiotherapy is funded under Capacity Building or Therapeutic Supports, and must relate to your disability. Your NDIS planner or advocate can help you understand physiotherapy funding, but please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about what we offer, and how we work with NDIS patients.
There is 1-hour parking directly outside the clinic on Bell Street. There are also some 2-hour parking spots directly opposite the clinic, and alternative 2-hour parking options on Dresden Street. Please be aware that the streets around our clinic are busy so please ensure your safety is considered.
