FAQs

We decide this based on your procedure and the timeline for your recovery, but physiotherapy can typically begin anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks after your surgery. Our priority is making sure everything is completed safely and you are not at any risk of further complications, and we will coordinate our treatment timeline based on the recommendations of your surgical team.

Going through physio helps to reduce swelling and prevent stiffness after you’ve been through surgery. Hands-on therapy and exercise will ensure your body functions correctly, particularly the areas affected by the surgery.

For every client, we begin by discussing your surgery and reviewing any notes provided by your medical team. This information forms the basis of our treatment plan and ensures that everything we do is tailored to your current mobility and activity levels, and does not put you at any risk of further issues.

Our goal with rehabilitation and treatment is to gradually help you return to your normal levels of activity, but we don’t rush this process. Every recovery timeline is different and depends on the surgery you underwent, but we will regularly assess your rehabilitation and let you know when it is safe to resume normal activity.

Absolutely! A lot of our patients perform their exercise rehabilitation from home. However, we also offer supervised exercise rehab sessions in our clinic so you can have support from our team while you complete your exercises.
